Admission: In Poland there is a tradition connected with the first star – we start Christmas Eve dinner when there is a star in the sky. We usually have 12 dishes on the table. Agata’s Christmas Eve: In my family there are 8 people and we spend Christmas Eve together. Before we start eating we share wafers with each other. Our tradition is that everyone has to try all 12 dishes before we open presents. I and my brother sit next to the Christmas tree and we give presents. My grandfather plays CDs with carols and we sing together. We open presents and talk. In my family there are 8 people and we spend Christmas Eve together. Agata’s Christmas Eve: At about 6 or 7 o’clock we go to my mother’s family and we stay there till 10. We eat something there and we get presents again! :D Later we watch TV and then we go home. Oliwia’s Christmas Eve: At 5 pm. we sit down to the table with prayer. After this special dish we find gifts under the Christmas tree. Then every person unpack his gif. This is so great! Zuzia’s Christmas Eve: In the Christmas time all family arrive to my typical. After this,we sit and eat 12 dishes,like typical polish family. First we wish each other merry christmas. When we are eating, we unpacking our present and sing carols. Then we watch a movie together. Later we go to the church to midnight mass. Afterwards we are really tired,so we pray and go to sleep. This is how I spend my Christmas every year.
