2 Who of us don’t like Christmas? In each country it look like very different, but we all love these days. I want to show you, how Christmas look like in my country – Poland.

3 Peoples cleaned their houses. They bought conifer trees and, in tradition, decorated them in Christmas Eve. In this day they prepared twelve dishes. Poles usually sended wishes of Merry Christmas.

4 Christmas Eve (in Polish „Wigilia”) is day before Christmas. Poles usually decorated their Christmas Trees. In the evening they waited for the first star and ate big supper which had twelve dishes! Before it they wished each other happiness, health, long life and after it they sang carols. In tradition, in this day peoples didn’t eat meat.

5 Christmas Tree is decorated by candles, chains, baubles and lights. Under it were a lot of presents.

6 1.beetroot soup with little dumplings 2.cabbage with peas 3.cabbage and mushrooms 4.carp 5.noodles with poppy seeds 6.kompot of dried fruit 7.cabbage rolls 8.kutia 9.pies with mushrooms 10.dumplings with cabbage and mushrooms, and cumin 11.herring 12.Pea soup

7 In this day in midnight or in the morning Poles went to church on Pasterka. They celebrated Jesus’ birth. This day is very important and very happy.

8 In this day Poles still celebrated Jesus’ birth. They also visited their family.

9 In my mind the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are one of the best days in the year! I love it!
