Air Force Association Leads the Way AFA supports educational opportunity and awards for Air Force members and others through a variety of innovative programs designed to help you achieve your educational goals. These include national scholarships and other scholarship opportunities. AFA also sponsors the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Program (STEM) in cooperation with its over 200 local chapters. This program alone has impacted over 13 million students and approximately 24,000 teachers.
