„Post-doc“ Programme at Charles University Goals To accelerate research activities at CU by young investigators finishing doctoral studies abroad Induction: negotiation at Mc Gill University

General conditions of the project The respective faculty confirms - that it has appropriate money to cover part of the investigators salaries - that it has equipment and fulfills conditions necessary for the project CU together with ministry of education creates fund with extra money covering second part of investigator´s salaries The duration of the project is two years

Application to the project -Each project has internal coordinator who suggests the core topic -The topics are announced by University and other websites twice yearly -Young researchers from abroad communicate with coordinators and prepare theses of the project

Application to the project -The projects are sent by researchers to coordinators and the faculty postpones the materials to rectorate -Then the committee (nominated by rector) evaluates all projects and the excellent ones suggests to rector -The accepted candidates are informed about the data of their stay at the respective faculty of CU

The investigator´s stay -Scientific work and publications of the results in peer review journals/books are the main goals of investigators -The results of investigators are once yearly evaluated by the independent committee at the faculty -Final report is done at the end of their two years stay
