 Punctuality, Purpose, and Professionalism  We will honor the meeting time and agenda  We will all be willing to give and receive constructive feedback  We will use technology responsibly  We will be active participants working together toward a common goal

 Teachers will:  Unwrap Second Six Weeks for all content areas.  Unwrap Third Six Weeks  Turn in Lesson Plans not in Binder

So many standards, so little time!!!! What heck do I unwrap???????

 The ones the students need for success according to following criteria:  What they need to know and be able to do in this school year, next year, and so on  What they need to learn in the way of life skills (Process Standards)  What they need to know and be able to do on all high- stakes district and state assessments. (Readiness Standards)

 1. Begin with YAG 2 nd Six Weeks units and compare it to LEAD 4Ward Snapshot  2. Identify your Reading and Supporting Standards.

 2. Compare READINESS AND SUPPORTING STANDARDS in district curriculum, with your unit CBA Assessments.

 Look at the standards that identified.  Out of those standards…..  Which ones are CRITICAL?  What they need to know and be able to do in this school year, next year, and so on…(Continues to be assessed in upper grades)  What they need to learn in the way of life skills  What they need to know and be able to do on all high-stakes district and state assessments.

 You can either  Check to see if you have previously unwrapped it, then you do not need to unwrap again.  UNWRAP that Standard.

8 th grade Science Earth and Space Science Materials for this activity: 8 th grade Science TEKS, “Unwrapping” Exemplar Template “Unwrapping” Exemplar Template 8.7 The student knows the effects resulting from cyclical movements of the Sun, Earth, and Moon. A.) Model and illustrate how the tilted Earth rotates on its axis, causing day and night, and revolves around the Sun causing changes in seasons. B.) demonstrate and predict the sequence of events in the lunar cycle. C.) relate the position of the Moon and Sun to their effect on ocean tides. STEP 1:
