Families in Mathematics

Whose in Your Family? Think about your family and the number of people which live in your house. How many people are in your family?

My Family I am an only child (no brothers and no sisters) I live with my mom and dad. There are three people total living in my house. Of course…I have many cousins, aunts, and uncles!

Families in Math Families in math can be related through addition and subtraction. Usually there are three numbers in the family. Example 4,6, = = – 4 = 610 – 6 = 4

How are numbers on dominoes related??? Dominoes have numbers on them and they are related to one another. Your task is to figure out how the numbers on your dominoes are related! Hint….you will create number sentences using addition and subtraction!
