Problems vs Solutions I argued with my best friend and I don’t know what I should do next. I can’t sleep the night before an exam, then I’m too tired to do well, what should I do? I really want a dog, but my parents won’t let me have one. What if I cut myself by accident? I don’t know if I should bring a present for Tom’s birthday party. Dogs can be a lot of trouble. Maybe you should get a small pet, like a goldfish. If I were you,I’d take a long walk before going to bed. That should help you relax. If I were you, I’ll take a small gift. You’d better cover the cut with a clean cloth and press it hard. Maybe you should talk to someone, you are halfway to solving a problem just by talking to someone about it.

Watch a video and help Peter with his problem. Peter’s problem is that… because… I think he should/had better/could… If I were…, I’d…

Help Maria with her problem I am Maria. I am a 14-year-old girl. I have a party coming up. We’ re going to swim, but I don’t want to go because I think I am fat. All my friends are going to be there, and they will laugh at me. What should I do?

Let’s read Confidence is very important in daily life. It can help you to develop a healthy attitude. But how to be more confident ? Here are some suggestions: 1. If you like swimming, swim as much as you can. In some ways, a hobby can make you outstanding. And it will make you happy and confident.

2. Exercise makes you tired but relaxed. A strong body builds up your confidence. 3. Fear comes along with failure( 失败 ). But it’s easy to overcome if you know that failure is part of your life. If I were you, I'd start again and believe I can do better. 4. I think you should speak loudly enough so that people can hear you clearly. The high voice can help you become more confident. 5. Your suggestions.

1. You should refuse if your friend offers you cigarettes. 2. You could meet an “internet friend” alone. 3. If you get pimples, you should take some medicine first. 4. You should tell children to ask their parents before they eat “ candy” they find. A D D A

Help David with this . Dear David, I’m writing to tell you what I am feeling these days. First of all, I think my mom talks too much and my dad is too strict. They don’t understand what I’m thinking about and what I like. They always keep telling me not to do this or that. It’s unfair. I don’t like the school uniform, either. It’s ugly. I want to wear my own clothes, but I’m not allowed. There are so many rules at our school. I can’t stand studying long hours on school nights.

What annoys me most is that the new city where I live right now. Too much traffic, too much noise and too many people. Every night the noise outside my windows makes me sleepless. You can imagine how terrible it is! I am very tired and sleepy all day and my teachers complain about that. Now I am unhappy. I really miss the old days we spent together. Ben

Help David write a reply to Ben’s to solve his problems?

Attitude decides all. No matter what problems you are facing, we should face it with a positive attitude.
