KIERIAN A RD PRESENTATION

 Since geothermal energy is generated and stored in the earth, and is created by radioactive decays, it is advisable for it to be used in areas close to the crust.  For geothermal to generate electricity, it requires an industrial system which is not suitable for homes, therefore for small business and homes to enjoy or access this electricity, heat pumps have to be installed to help draw heat from underground

 To improve power conversion  Increasing power output using a power plant (dry steam power plant).

 In a dry steam, water in the earth’s crust is being used  This water is heated by the mantle and released in form of steam through vents. Talking about vents, they are known to be small openings at the earth’s surface from which volcanic materials such as steam, lava, gas and many others are emitted.  The production wells are being drilled deep down to the aquifer and the highly heated, pressurized steam of about (180 0 C to C) is brought to the surface at high speeds.

 The steam is being passed through a team turbine and then electricity is produced.  This particular power plant will help me achieve my aim which is to improve power conversion and increase power output(electricity) because it is less complicated and I don’t have many things to worry about except the cost of the power plan itself.

 Larderallo (Italy in 1904)  Geysers  Calpine is known to be the highest geothermal power producer in the world
