Detailed Plans on Production Service Operations in Spain Andreu Pacheco (IFAE/PIC) GDB Meeting

LCG2 Migration Current Status We are ready to enter LCG2 At PIC, Gonzalo Merino and Marc Rodriguez are in charge of this migration. Gonzalo was also in charge last September of Spanish LCG1 integration, including the coordination of all spanish sites.

LCG2 Plans in Spain 1.PIC will migrate 50% of their computing resources to LCG2. 2.The 6000-slot PIC robotic storage facility will be added to LCG2. 3.The rest of the sites will move to LCG2 100% of their current LCG1 resources. 4.PIC will migrate 100% to LCG2.

Spanish sites in LCG1 CIEMAT, Madrid IFCA, Santander IFIC, Valencia PIC (IFAE), Barcelona UAM, Madrid UB, Barcelona USC, Santiago de Compostela

Remarks It is very important for us that experiments will use only grid computing by June This will move most LHC computing resources located in spanish sites to LCG2. We need to reduce the pressure to use the farms in non-grid mode.
