Comprises six faculties  Faculty of Tourism “Montenegro Tourism School”  Faculty of Business Studies "Montenegro Business School",  Faculty of Information Technology,  Faculty of Visual Arts,  Faculty of Law and  Faculty of Foreign Languages

 Project “Distance Learning System at University Mediterranean” started Goals  - employing Internet-based ICT as a new teaching method,  - establishing long-life education programs at University ”Mediterranean”,  - developing new methodological approaches used in teaching,  - facilitating switching from traditional learning to knowledge- acquisition activity.

 2007 Distance learning system Version 1.0  We decided to take distance learning implementation into two phases ◦ First phase include Implementation DLS at Faculty of IT as an additional teching method ◦ Second phase inlcude implementation DLS into all faculties of University Mediterranean  Software for supporting DL provide: ◦ Creating and posting multimedia teching material, ◦ Facilitated and documented correspodence between students and between students and teachers, ◦ Assigning of task and their posting by students ◦ Online testing as a way of studetnts’ self-evaluation

 2007 – V1.0 Unsuitable software solution for using advanced e-learning systems Outsourcing – necessary changes require time and additional efforts System decentralisation (FIT Web CMS and FIT DLS) Insufficient informing and readiness of teachers and students to accept the new teaching and learning approach Problems with different and/or limited Internet access (difficult downloading, uploading etc.)

 We installed Moodle for the first time in  In 2008: we started using Open Source Learning Management System “Moodle” which is used at many world universities.  We created the eLearning Development Centre.  The switching into new system was used to additionally improve teaching material.  The teaching staff was trained to work with Moodle system Open Source Learning Management System Open Source Learning Management System

 New courses design on all study levels  Adaptation of Moodle system for real needs supported from modules such as videoconference,  Establishment of Internet standards for e-course development in accordance with recommendations of ◦ EFQUEL-The European Foundation for Quality in eLearning ◦ The universities in Europe which have been awarded Quality label in eLearning by EFQUEL  Education of teaching staff and students  Evaluation

 In 2009, DLS established at Faculty of Tourism and the Faculty of Law.  Staff was trained in designing teaching materials and communicating with students.  Quality of DLS has improved significantly and the implementation time has been reduced.  In 2010, the other faculties at the University "Mediterranean" started DL courses.  The use of video conferencing software has substantially improved our teaching quality.
