To a parent, it may mean that the student receives his/her education in the home with the parent supervising. In todays world, public education funding is often utilized to provide educational services which are accessed in a students home. These services are sometimes referred to by parents as homeschool services but in fact, are public education services. For purposes of determining eligibility for Dual Enrollment, a student is homeschooled only if they: (1) obtained a compulsory education release through Student Services ; AND (2) are not receiving or participating in any educational services which are paid for or supported by public education funds.
