Scoring Systems - Objective - Subjective

OBJECTIVE SCORING Objective Scoring is based on fact. There is a score at the end of the game to decide the final outcome For Example In hockey the winner is decided by the team scoring the most goals at the end of 70 minutes. In Volleyball it is the team who scores 25 points first. In the 100m sprint the fastest time wins the race.

SUBJECTIVE SCORING Subjective scoring is based on the opinion of Judges. For example in Diving a panel of expert judges award points for the quality of the diver’s performance. The winner is decided on the opinion of the judges and points awarded accordingly
