NEW/MODIFIED COMPONENTS

New Classified Evaluation System Components mirror the Certified System New Professional Practice Rubric Focus for on the Rubric and Professional Goal Pilot SGOs during

Measures of Student Learning School Performance Framework – Scores roll from st Look Scores (Coming Soon) – TCAP ratings roll up from last year – Addition of MAP & STAR scores from data – Continuation of DIBELS scores 2 nd Look – Accepting submissions for District Approved Assessments – For information regarding District Approved Assessments, go to the WPSD website, under HR > Educator Effectiveness > District Approved Assessments

Updated Professional Practice Rubrics All Professional Practice Rubric Elements & Practices are aligned to the Colorado State Model System – Some practices were eliminated – Unclear wording was cleaned up Addition of an IRT Rubric & a new Standard for Special Educator Teachers There will be time to complete the Professional Practice Rubric self-assessment on the October Collaboration Day

Dashboard Tweaks Password Recovery – Option at log-in to have password sent via Training Acknowledgement – One time sign-off upon initial log-in NEW System Tracking Bar – Shows completion of major evaluation components throughout the year – Located at the bottom of the Dashboard screen

Dashboard Tweaks Observations – Quick view of dates & minutes – Icon to view notes – New scroll option Conferences – Separates out conferences from observations – Includes trainings, goal setting, and mid/end of year meetings – Allows for staff member comments

Dashboard Reminders Log In – Username = first initial last name – Password = Set by staff member; New staff use WPSD Professional Practice Rubric – Access by clicking on the checkbox next to the Element Professional Practice Goals – Access via the Actions panel Student Growth Objective – Access via the Actions panel – Set-up requires subject and specific preparedness groups (ie all students OR low, middle, high) – When entering Scoring Plan cut points, enter ONLY the lower percent of the scoring range

Appeals Process Allows Nonprobationary Staff to appeal a second consecutive rating of ineffective or partially effective Follows the Colorado State BOE Process & Timelines Utilizes a 4 Person Review Panel – Superintendent, a Building Level Admin, an IRT, and a teacher from the District Evaluation Team – Team members may not be involved in the supervision or evaluation of the staff member Process posted on the District Website under HR > Educator Effectiveness

EVALUATION SYSTEM COMPONENTS

System Components Professional Practice Goal(s) – Minimum of 1 Goal – Tied to the Professional Practice Rubric – Template in the Dashboard Action Panel – Finalize by the End of 1 st Quarter – Staff members complete Mid & End of Year Reflections in the Dashboard

System Components Growth Objective(s) – Minimum of 1 SGO for Teachers / 2 for Special Service Providers – Template in the Dashboard Action Panel – Finalize by the End of 1 st Quarter – Mid & End of Year Reflections in the Dashboard

System Components & Deadlines Goal Setting, Mid & End of Year Conferences – Goal Setting by the end of the 1 st Quarter – Mid-Year Conference by the beginning of 2 nd Semester – End-of-Year Conference by May 5 th Observations with Written Feedback – Probationary = 1 st & 2 nd Semester; Observation of Full Lesson – Non-Probationary = 60 minutes total with at least one 20+ minute observation
