You and your partner will create a shopping list for art supplies. Remember Mr. Smith normally must have 24 of an item to be effective, or something that can be divided into 24 servings. This is about fairness. AT THE END OF CLASS YOU WILL TURN IN ONE SHOPPING LIST ON NOTEBOOK PAPER! ONE PERSON COMPUTES AND ONE PERSON WRITES!

Example of what works: two dozen fine point black sharpies (all same color). Example of what doesn’t work: Two packs of 12 assorted colored pencils (some students are stuck with white colored pencils). STAY AWAY FROM THE WORD “ASSORTED” or “VARIETY”, but classroom sets can be interesting. If dealing with colors of paint, only five are necessary: red, yellow, blue, black, white. If buying something for each student 2-D art student to keep, you must get 80 pieces. Think in terms of project sets (paper/canvas, paint, paintbrushes, easels, etc.) Don’t just buy charcoal, buy paper to use it on and erasers, too! This is your 4 th nine weeks!
