Overview of current position. A strategic partnership working together to build a renewable energy industry for Dundee and its region.

Dundee Renewables A city wide partnership of Dundee City Council, Scottish Enterprise, Port of Dundee and educational institutions such as SI 2 Creation of a brand and market awareness, SI 2 plays a key role here with knowledge transfer Collaborative and one stop shop approach to information for inward investors

Key Objectives To attract a large manufacturing facility into the city Jobs, Economic development, diversification Part of a wider sustainable ambition for the city Assisting Scotland reach its renewable energy targets

Key Messages Scottish Government’s National Renewables Infrastructure Plan identifies Dundee as the most strategically important and suitable port location for marine renewables The closest port to the majority of Scotland's wind development zones 175 hectares of development land available for renewable energy manufacturing across the city
