3 Meeting Title (optional)Date RSS Feed Definition What is a RSS Feed? –RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication –RSS is a subscription service that notifies subscribers when new content has been published to a web page. What are the advantages of RSS Feeds –A user is notified immediately of published updates to a website –A user can collect content from multiple websites and stay updated without visiting each site often. –Feeds can contain a simple link to the source or the complete content including attachments –Reduces messages in mailbox (doesn’t use address) – (as well as other private info) cannot be sent to third parties; user’s name are not requested
