Login/Logout Procedures

Login – Windows XP Greeted by Technology Usage Agreement 1. User name text box 2-digit grad. Yr. + first initial + last name (ie. 12bkeylon or 15bkeylon) 2. Password text box Pw + Student ID# (found on ASB card or class schedule). 3. If prompted to change password, you should. If not prompted, you can by pressing CTL + ALT + Delete, then Change Password.

Logout - Windows XP 1. Click on Start. 2. Click on Log Off. 3. Click on Yes button on Log Off Windows dialog box. If you are in A4 or B8…please click on Shut Down instead of Log Off…when it asks what you want the computer to do…select Shut Down if necessary.

Saving Files to the P: drive 1. Click on File. 2. Click on Save As. 3. Click on the drop-down arrow to the right of the Save in: text box to display all the Directories. 4. Click on the P: 5. Your user name should be in the Save in text box 6. Type a title for your document in the File Name text box (limit it to 8 characters, no spaces) 7. Click on Save
