Public Safety Technology Forum June 15, 2015

2 Montgomery County – Public Safety Systems Modernization (PSSM) Program PSSM Program’s mandate is to replace the following systems that support the County’s public safety agencies and personnel to protect the lives and ensure the safety of the public: Radio Infrastructure - Negotiations Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) - Implementation Fire Station Alerting - Negotiations Law Enforcement Records Management System (LE-RMS) Radio replacements – Completed (as part of rebanding, will need to update other users after P25 implementation) Mobile Data Computers (MDCs) - Completed PSSM Program is a multi-departmental/agency and multi-year $110M capital project.

3 State and MCG Collaboration Efforts  Procurements & Contracts Involvement in several State solicitations prior to public release Utilize contracts, pricing, and vendor relationships Attended project kick-offs for Statewide projects (700 Mhz and CAD/RMS)  Sharing Best Practices Project management information sharing Attended the State 700 MHz factory staging for Phase 1A Governor’s first call  Technology discussions and sharing Advanced System Key (ASK) distribution process Involvement and sharing of information on fleet map radio configurations  Participation on various committees PSA, Operations, and Technical
