Product testing on animals Angela Conte October 26, 2009

Who? What? Many animals are the next experiment on being tested on. Especially the smaller type like guinea pigs and bunnies. All products being tested on these animals could be deadly, or even harm the innocent animal. Some of the tests include, skin and eye irritancy, and toxicity. Cosmetic testing on animals isn’t even required in the USA.

Companies that animal-test Arm & Hammer Aussie Clorox Crest Clean and Clear Fabreeze Iams Listerine

Facts Bed bath & beyond (like any other company) test their products on bunny’s eyes and mouse skin. The animals are forced too keep their eyelids open and if not, clips are used to keep them in place. This results in animals breaking their necks. Some of the product testing categories are in pesticides, paint, and industrial chemicals. Only 75% of Americans are against this

Companies that DON’T animal test Bath and body works Mary Kay Estee lauder Happy dog food LA minerals Almay Aloe up Calvin Klein Cosmetics

Did you know? Animal testing costs the American public over $136 billion annually. Drugs that pass animal tests end up harming or killing humans about 61% of the time. More than 100,000 people have been hospitalized and later died from toxic reactions to medications in 1994 that were not predicted by animal tests.

If you want to help 1)Don’t use products that test on animals, you can find a list of them on Google. 2)Protest at places who do animal testing. 3)Spread awareness in you’re communities and teach the people who are unaware. 4)Use or support the companies that DON’T animal test, so they can become more popular.
