Matthew 8:5-13 5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” Note: We don’t know who this “servant” was, but most people think that it was one of his men.

Respect for Authority=Respect for God Our Centurion was saying that he understood what it meant to be in charge and what it meant to respect those in authority over you. And he understood that because Jesus is in charge of everything Jesus had enough power to heal his servant without having to come to his house. Sometimes, respect is as simple as being able to take someone at their word. How do you demonstrate your respect to those whom God has put in your life?
