Enlargement Regional Programmes ReSPA Your new partner for a better Civil Service Blerta Selenica Governing Board Member Brussels, 31st March 2011

Mmmm Vision: To improve cooperation in the field of public administration amongst the members of ReSPA; to strengthen exchange with the Member States of the European Union and the European Economic Area; to strengthen administrative capacity in the public administration of the members of ReSPA as required by the European integration process; and to develop human resources in the public administrations of the Members of ReSPA in line with the principles of the European Administrative Spaces. Mission: To boost regional cooperation in the field of public administration in the Western Balkans. As such, ReSPA is a unique historical endeavor, established to support the creation of accountable, effective and professional public administration systems for the Western Balkans on their way to EU accession.

Regional School of Public Administration Enlargement Regional Programmes After the Thessaloniki Agenda a feasibility study was financed by E C. December 2006 – A Letter of Intent was signed between the seven countries. EC signed a contract with the OECD to help institutionalisation of ReSPA and the first phase began (virtual ReSPA). A second contract signed with EIPA.

Regional School of Public Administration Enlargement Regional Programmes 21 st November 2008 – International Agreement signed from the six countries. 1 st August 2010 IA entered into force making ReSPA real. 11 th November Official Opening ceremony EC contract signed with ReSPA.
