ACCREDITATION As of 1 August 2013, all accreditation requests must be made via the online system eAccreditation at Guidelines on how to submit requests online and a set of Frequently Asked Questions can be found on the Protocol website All requests require at least 48 business hours for processing after online submission Deadline for submission of accreditation is Tuesday, 17 September 2013 VIP passes are issued by Protocol and may be collected at the Protocol Office Delegates passes are issued by the Pass and ID Unit Passes for delegates whose photos are already in the system of Pass and ID may be collected by representatives of the missions on their behalf Delegates needing photos should proceed to Pass and ID Unit Comprehensive list of official delegations to the 68 th session of the General Assembly must be sent to the Office of Protocol not later than 31 October 2013.

ACCREDITATION (continued) VIP passes (without photo) will be issued to Heads of State/Government, Vice- Presidents, Crown Princes/Princesses and spouses VIP passes (with photo) will be issued to Deputy Prime Ministers, Cabinet Ministers and spouses Issuance of Protocol passes will be restricted during 23 September – 04 October 2013

ACCESS CARDS TO THE GA HALL Access cards for the High-level meeting and the general debate, to be distributed by Protocol on 20 September, will be valid from 23 September to 04 October 2013: –Permanent Missions/Observers four for the General Assembly Hall and four for the North Lawn Building Lobby; two seats will be reserved in the overflow room (CR4) –Observers/IGOs two for the General Assembly Hall and two for the North Lawn Building Lobby. –Specialized Agencies one for the General Assembly Hall and two for the North Lawn Building Lobby. Seats in the VIP Section and the reserved area during the Speech of the Heads of delegations will be greatly reduced due to space limitations. The Protocol and Liaison Service will only consider requests sent in writing one week in advance of the required date.
