Some Stressors Experienced 52% experienced employment discrimination 73% had been hate crime victims due to being trans (20% physically assaulted, 14% sexually assaulted) 80% worry about sexual relationships due to being trans 46% of those transitioning experienced difficulty accessing hormones and surgeries 67% feel they must hide being trans to be accepted (UK Trans Mental Health Study 2012)

Mental Health, Self Harm & Suicide 88% had experienced depression 75% had experienced anxiety 62% engaged in alcohol abuse 53% had self-harmed (UK Trans Mental Health Study 2012) Suicide Attempt Rates (Gen Pop ~ 4%) 35% - UK Trans Mental Health Study % -Trans EuroStudy % - UK Engendered Penalties 2006

Access to healthcare in Europe Access to gender reassignment 2003 to % refused state-funded hormones 89% refused state-funded surgery 34% refused treatment due to doctor disapproving of gender reassignment (Trans EuroStudy 2008) 19% felt discriminated against by healthcare providers 2011 to 2012 (EU LGBT Survey 2012)
