4 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) 4 SAT Reasoning Test or ACT in spring (a “must” for early action/early decision candidates) 4 SAT Subject Test students are responsible for knowing what subject tests are required by each school to which you are applying. 4 FYI…High School Proficiency Assessment Test (HSPA) Various Testing for Junior Year

SAT Reasoning Test 4 Measures Aptitude –Verbal –Math –Writing 4 Score Administered seven times each year– recommended spring of junior year and possibly Oct. of senior year 4 Testing Center: WMC 4 Register at: 4 School Code:

SAT/ACT COMPARISON 4 SAT 4 ¼ point deducted for each incorrect answer. 4 Total testing time: 205 minutes (includes 25 min. experimental section) 4 Required writing component 4 Math – two 25 minute sections, one 20 minute section. 4 Critical Reading – two 25 minute sections, one 20 min. section. 4 Writing – 60 minutes 4 ACT 4 Does not deduct points for incorrect answers. 4 Total testing time: 205 minutes (plus writing) 4 Writing component optional 4 English section – 45 minutes 4 Math section – 60 minutes 4 Reading section – 35 minutes 4 Science section – 35 minutes 4 Writing (optional) – 30 minutes
