The Commitment to Purity The Blood of Jesus Revelations 5

Revelations 1:4-6  Rev 1:4 John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne,5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

His Blood…over 450 times. +“For this is my blood of the New Testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matt. 26:28 +“We have redemption through the blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” Col. 1:14 +“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Col. 3:3

His Blood is Perfect + Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matt. 1:23 + “I have betrayed innocent blood.” + “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth.” I Peter 2:22

His Blood is Perfect + “in Him is no sin.” I John 3:5 + “Holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens.” Hebrews 7:26 + For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Cor.5:21

His Blood is Pure + “For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Heb. 9:13-14

Blood is Perpetual + “Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.” Heb. 7:27 + “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Heb. 9:12 + “But now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Heb. 9:26

His Blood is Powerful + “For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood” Rev. 5:9 + “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Rev. 12:11

His Blood Permanent + “I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.” Isaiah 44:22 + Heb. 10: “The Blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin.” I John 1:7

His Blood is Precious + “But with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” I Peter 1:19
