1 Sounds from the blood of Christ
Hebrews 12:22-24

2 The Blood of Christ reveals God’s Love for Man

3 God’s love prompted Him to send His Son to be a “propitiation” for the sins of man
9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10

4 God’s love prompted Him to send His Son to be a “propitiation” for the sins of man
11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

5 God’s love prompted Him to send His Son to be a “propitiation” for the sins of man
13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:11-14

6 God commended His love to man in letting His Son die for the sins of mankind
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

7 God commended His love to man in letting His Son die for the sins of mankind
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:6-9

8 The blood of Christ tells of the active principles of God’s love:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

9 The blood of Christ tells of the active principles of God’s love:
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9

10 The blood of Christ tells of the active principles of God’s love:
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:19

11 The blood of Christ declares

12 The scriptures declare that Christ’s death was necessary
All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

13 The scriptures declare that Christ’s death was necessary
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

14 The scriptures declare that Christ’s death was necessary
so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28

15 Sin is a not an invented concept…
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23

16 Sin is a not an invented concept…
1 Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2

17 Sin is a not an invented concept…
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

18 Sin is a not an invented concept…
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

19 The blood of Christ says that Man is unable to save himself from sin.

20 Mankind accomplishes many things:
1. “Miracle” drugs have been developed. 2. Man can travel faster than the speed of sound. 3. Can travel to the moon and back.

21 But, Man cannot save himself from sin.
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1:18-19

22 But, Man cannot save himself from sin.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9

23 Lessons for us today

24 How does one contact (reach) the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, Revelation 1:5

25 How does one contact (reach) the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’ Acts 22:16

26 How does one contact (reach) the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28

27 How does one contact (reach) the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

28 The connection should be clear:
3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:3-4

29 The connection should be clear:
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

30 The connection should be clear:
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 1:7-2:2

31 conclusion 1. The lessons we can learn from the blood & sacrifice of Christ are beyond number. 2. The most important thing to know about His blood is that man requires it. 3. Without the blood of Christ man is lost, man is without hope, and man sits condemned of sin. 4. We would be wise to listen to the lessons the blood of Christ teaches us.
