2 Jesus As Presented in the Revelation The Faithful Witness Rev 1:5  Significant as letter is received by seven churches  Introduced to Laodicea as “the faithful and true witness” Rev 3:14  Ultimate witness having left heaven, came to earth and was persecuted and put to death; yet overcame death and ascended to be at God’s right hand  As a witness both credible and believable John 8:14

Saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who hath the stroke of the sword and lived. And it was given unto him to give breath to it, even to the image to the breast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as should not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Rev 13:12-15
