Use Common Resources Use websites such as the one below to learn about people or sports events that you specifically enjoy! Use Butler’s Library Databases to help with research Try searching “Tony Hinkle” and “Hinkle FieldHouse”

Find 5 Interesting Facts Write down five interesting facts you discover about the history Hinkle Field House, Tony Hinkle, or the sporting events that have taken place there. Make sure to type it in a Word Document using Times New Roman, 12 point font You can use bullets or outline format to do this I will check them in class before you move onto the next step

Find 5 Pictures Find five pictures relating to Butler University. Copy and Paste these into a Word Document that you will hand in with your 5 facts to be checked.

Where to find the pictures You can use Google Images If you are able to, you can go to the campus and take your own photos You can look in books or online You can cut them out of magazines Your options are limitless!

Poster Board After I have checked your work, print and paste the five pictures you find to a poster board Decorate the poster board- Be CREATIVE!

Presentations You will be presenting your poster board to the entire class when you are finished You will be sharing with the class what you learned and found most interesting Your presentation can be anywhere from 2-3 minutes Ask a parent or adult to help time you and practice what you will say

Clothing On the day of our presentations, I would like each of you to dress up. We want to look nice when we present our research to the class. Ask your parents/guardian to help you plan your outfit.

Follow-Up One last thing for you to do is to write down on a piece of paper, what you found the most interesting. This can be anything you found, even if it doesn’t relate to the project topic. Hand this in on presentation day as well.

Rubric Pre-write: (list of 5 facts and 5 pictures) = 10 points Poster: Information = 5 points Creativity = 3 points Presentation: Dress = 2 points Content = 5 points Follow Up: 5 points Overall it’s out of 30 points!
