Classical Art Lasted from 500 BCE to 500 CE Sculptures, pottery, murals, and mosaics Purpose: show the importance of people and leaders, as well as gods and goddesses Lifelike; more perfect than real life Bodies looked active and motion was believable In paintings, there was little background or sense of perspective
