KIA Facts and Figures Plan announced in March of 2006 Started manufacturing in November of $1.1 billion investment by KIA. $20 million dollar investment by the state to build the training center. 360,000 vehicles produced per year. (KIA Sorrento, KIA Optima, Hyundai Santa Fe) Approximately 6,000 workers on site.

KIA Facts and Figures Roughly 4,500 additional jobs have been added at Georgia businesses that feed parts/supplies to KIA. Takes 18 hours to build one vehicle. Each vehicle travels on 5.9 miles of conveyor belts before they are completed. 9% of all vehicles produced are exported. (Canada, Chile, Caribbean) About 50% are sent out on trucks, the other 50% on rail. More than 132,000 people have applied for a job at KIA since 2008.
