Friend of Freedom Awards Announced by Dr. Lizbeth Johnson Event Chair

Friend of Freedom Awards Presented by Klein ISD Board of Trustees Superintendent, Dr. Jim Cain

Ms. Cindy Clark, has served in multiple volunteer roles for four years at Klein High School. She has chaired two after prom events and given support to booster club activities.

Mr. Michael Marcon, has promoted good grades and attendance in several elementary schools through a contest sponsored by the Sunshine Rotary Club. He is also a Boy Scout leader.

Ms. Jo Cassel, has been a volunteer in the Klein ISD for six of her seven children’s schools. She supports cultural diversity and excellence by serving as a role model.

Mr. Dave Hurst, in support of social studies and cultural appreciation, has donated time, energy, and teaching enhancements to Klein Forest High School.

Mr. Jim Huston, served as the president of the Klein Education Foundation. During his tenure, the foundation awarded over $100,000 in grants that directly impacted 75,000 students.

Ms. Lisa Raebig, was nominated by Northampton Elementary School where she is an involved volunteer. She also serves as a member of the Unite for Understanding Council.

Mr. William Carboni, coordinates a parent involvement program for Kreinhop Elementary School. After the planning, he works with the counselors to ensure the success of the program.

Dr. Cranston Christopher, organizes and promotes science instruction at Lemm Elementary School. Additionally, he has been a guest presenter of science lessons.
