Created in 1965 by President Lyndon B Johnson to provide fair and equal opportunities for children to have a high quality education.
Based on the poverty level of the school.
Title I programs serve all children in a school regardless of income.

5. On standardized testing last year Butte….
Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) showed an increase in students measured as proficient and a decrease in students who are far below proficient in all areas.
Language: We increased from 52% to 60% proficient
Mathematics: We increased from 53% to 63% proficient
Reading: We increased from 50% to 58% proficient
