Educational Psychology Field that studies and applies theories and concepts from all of psychology in an educational setting

An educational setting may be schools ranging from Elementary Middle school High School University

Or anywhere people may learn Any examples anyone?

The goal of Educational Psychology To make any student teacher relationship as positive as it can be. So that students may learn to the best of their potential

Cognitive perspective Behavioral perspective Theoretical Perspectives of Educational Psychology are: Cognitive perspective Behavioral perspective

Cognitive perspective Studies how people acquire, perceive, remember and communicate information

Behavioral perspective Studies the tendency to modify our behavior due to consequences

To motivate students in good and bad ways Just like how Rewards Punishments To motivate students in good and bad ways

Developmental Theory Studies how people change during the course of their lives from infancy to older adulthood

Applying Psychology in the classroom

Just like School Psychologists: Concerned with helping students learn

But they… Instructional methods for an entire school system Generally focusses on course planning Instructional methods for an entire school system (They don’t focus on the individual child, but wider system.)
