Performance Analysis Angela Ardron Policing Model Analyst ACPOS NIM/MoPI Team

Performance Management It is helpful to see performance management as a cyclical process, which involves at the most basic level: reviewing information from the previous cycle of activity to decide what the plan for the future will be; taking action to deliver the plan; and then assessing how successful delivery has been in order to inform the plan for the future. (Home Office: A Practical Guide to Police Performance Management)

Performance Analysis ‘reviewing information from the previous cycle of activity’ - exception reporting ‘decide what the plan for the future will be’ -forecasting, performance indicators, targets ‘taking action to deliver the plan’ -identification of good practice ‘assessing how successful delivery has been’ - evaluation/results analysis
