The leader represents the influence and needs of the group. The leader’s task is moving the individual closer to the goal.

Order of the Arrow Lodge Leadership Development Dynamics of Leadership Democratic Leader collaborates with team members in defining goals, acting as consultant or source of advice and counsel. Leader expects goals to be achieved, but allows team members to determine their own methods to reach the goals.

Order of the Arrow Lodge Leadership Development Dynamics of Leadership Delegation Leader exerts little or no influence over the goals that the team members make, giving this responsibility to the team. Leader expects that the team determined goals will be achieved and allows team members to determine the methods to achieve these goals.
