ALL requirements for the Eagle rank MUST be completed BEFORE the candidate’s 18th birthday.

Scout or Venturer - Qualifies for as many required merit badges , and as many of the requirements of the other required merit badges, as capable Makes special application to Council Advancement Committee Documents disability Makes recommendation for alternative badges (may be done by someone on youth’s behalf) Council Advancement Committee MUST approve alternative merit badges BEFORE youth starts on alternative merit badges.

12 Eagle Project Requirement
While a Life Scout Plan, Develop, and give Leadership to others in a service project helpful to your religious institution, school, or community. This project MUST be approved by your beneficiary, unit leader, unit committee, and by your council advancement committee (Eagle Project Counselor) BEFORE you start. You must use the Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook.

15 Limitations The project may NOT be The project must
work involving BSA activities routine labor work on troop or council property for a profit-making business of commercial nature a fund raiser The project must start after the Life Board of Review end before the 18th birthday except under extenuating circumstances and prior approval by Council Advancement Committee
