The 3 most important were 25 th Dec, 1 st & 6 th Jan. Everyone was expected to give the king a gift. It was an important indicator of personal standing with the king if it was accepted or rejected. In 1532, H8 accepted Anne Boleyn’s gift but rejected Catherine’s!
