Sight Words Week 3

Parents, Have your child practice reading the grid to you several times this week. Prompt your child to point under each word as they read it. thetoatgo toatgothe atgotheto gothetoat

Other Activities Find these words in a book with simple text. Write the words in a salt tray. Use the words in a sentence (parents write the unknown words and allow your child to write the sight words). Examples: I can see a dog. I see letters. I can jump. Using magnetic letters (or letters written on paper then cut apart), have students “build” the word by arranging the letters in the correct order. Make flashcards for each word and tape them in places around the house. As your child enters or leaves that area they must point under the word and read it.
