Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Huntsville City Schools and The University of Alabama in Huntsville 8 Students will have the opportunity to earn approximately 60 or more college credits. A new four year College Academy cohort will begin each year, beginning in 2016 of approximately students. Students are required to maintain a 3.2 weighted grade point average.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Huntsville City Schools and The University of Alabama in Huntsville 9 Selection process is based on student application package, standardized test scores, grade point average, evidence of demonstrated maturity, recommendations from school personnel, development of a diverse cohort of students based on HCS enrollment goals. Priority will be given to McNair students for approximately one quarter of available seats. Jemison College Academy staff and UAH professors will develop and implement supports for students. There is no cost for the student or parents. Qualified students gain direct admission to UAH as a junior academically. These students are considered freshmen for scholarships and financial aid. This MOU provides unprecedented academic benefits to students and impressive financial benefits to parents.
