Success story: Digi-mobile voucher scheme (1/2) Adopted by the General Secretariat of Digital Planning Call to be published within the next week Aims at promoting the wider use of mobile services by companies from other sectors (Type B voucher) Supported companies funded for the development, acquisition and exploitation of innovative services through smartphones or tablet PCs

Success story: Digi-mobile voucher scheme (2/2) Services can be in various sectors such as Health, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Transport, Culture, Entertainment, Tourism, etc. Overall budget (public funds): 15 m Maximum budget allowed for proposals: – for mobile applications – for mobile portals Funding rate: 70%

Success story: ICT4Growth grant scheme (1/3) Adopted by the General Secretariat of Digital Planning Call to be published within this month Broader scope than MOBIP's proposal, addressed to all ICT services, and including Mobile Services Aims to support companies for the development of Innovative Added Value Services

Success story: ICT4Growth grant scheme (2/3) Supports B2B or B2C services in: Health, Education, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Transport, and Social Networking Eligible costs: equipment, software, licenses, and staff costs of personnel specifically hired for the business plan Especially for SMEs, costs of consulting services and participation in trade fairs / events are eligible

Success story: ICT4Growth grant scheme (3/3) Overall budget (public funds): 120 m Funding rate: 15% - 60% (?), according to size and location of company Budget of business plans – 300 K - 3 m for SMEs – 1 m - 5 m for large companies

Hellenic Mobile Services Cluster Formation of Hellenic Association of Mobile Application Companies 32 members 60 additional companies interested in joining

Hellenic Mobile Services Cluster Proposal to be sumbitted (17 October) to call of Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology for support of clusters (Phase 1: Expression of interest) The initial plan for the call (public consultation) did not include mobile services - this was achieved by lobbying of MOBIP and HAMAC

Structural funds in the Netherlands PNO has contributed to the establishment of an ICT sector fund in the Netherlands Investment of 500k per year in relevant ICT projects with a social character, incl. (but not exclusively) mobile services
