Summary and Conclusions Membership Trends: Stable, not increasing. Notable Actions and Points: (1) Having tutorial materials provides good fodder for meetings, especially with students. (2) Size is not as important as the key individuals that make the events happen. (3) More knowledge of Region 2 resources may be a great benefit to the section. (4) Some sections are still working on their Web pages. (5) FoxPro and Web services from IEEE need to be made more useable. Membership information is not accurate. Why do we use the Mellon Bank for deposit of funds? Can we use local banks instead? (6) Cleveland Section request some financial support for ISEF meeting. This award is presented by the IEEE president. 1 st place = $15K from Intel. 2 nd place = $200 from section funds. 1,200 students compete for this scholarship. The presentations are based on only EE principles. The section is active in judging the winning papers/presentations. This is an international competition. The section ask for $1K in support of additional scholarship funding.
