This will be my 16 th year teaching 1 st grade. This will be my first year at Kincaid. I am transferring from King Springs Elementary (Smyrna) so that I can have more time with my family and the ability to be more involved with school. Mrs. Nichole Begerow

CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR

Homework Journal – 3 activities 1 Math, 1 LA, 1 SC/SS Due by Friday Homework is checked for completion Homework Begins mid-August

Spelling sheet comes home each Monday List of spelling activity suggestions will be sent home to practice words at home Spelling Test each Friday SPELLING

The students will practice these activities independently while the teacher meets with groups or individual students for guided reading, conferencing or assessments. Read to Self Work on Writing Listen to Reading Word Work Read to Someone Daily 5 and Literacy Centers

SLO (Student Learning Objectives) Testing Pre-tests begin in mid-August Post-tests at end of the year to track growth CogAT September 29 th – October 1 st Don’t forget the importance of attendance TESTING
