 The iPod was created by the apple company, and started out as a regular mp3 player. With the first generation made in  It could hold at least 1000 songs on its 1.8” hard drive.  It had easy to use navigation, which was controlled by a Mechanical scroll wheel.  It was $399.  There was five more generations of the classic iPod after this, most ranging to $400.

 Was announced In 2004 with a smaller body and screen, and a longer battery life.  However, instead of the four touch buttons located above the wheel, the buttons were redesigned as mechanical switches beneath the wheel itself.  It used a touch sensitive scroll wheel.  First generation iPod Minis were available in five colors: silver, gold, pink, blue, and green. The gold model was dropped from the second generation range.

 Advertising emphasized the iPod Nano's small size: 40 millimeters wide, 90 millimeters long, 6.9 millimeters thick and weighs 42 grams, its stated I battery life of up to 14 hours, displaying 65,536 colors.  On 12 September 2006, Apple updated the Nano line. multiple color choices (silver, green, pink, blue, and black) The second-generation Nano features "a brighter, more vibrant display", a battery life upgrade (from 14 to 24 hours), and doubled storage sizes with the new 2, 4, and 8 GB  Apple updated the Nano again on 5 September The Nano was announced in a 4 GB version coming in silver and an 8 GB version coming in silver, turquoise, mint green, black, and. The battery lasted for 24 hours on audio playback and. 5 hours on video playback. on 22 January 2008, Apple released a pink version of the 8 GB iPod Nano.  the 4 th generation went back to the shape of the first and second gen. But had better upgrades and was the most environmental ipod  The 5 th generation same as 4 th but apple added a camera and a microphone to it.  The 6 th generation was sol in 2010 and was basically like the mini version of the ipod touch.

The iPod Shuffle is the smallest model in Apple's iPod family, and was the first to use flash memory and was designed to be easily loaded with a selection of songs and to play them in random order. The further apple went with the generations of the IPod shuffle, the smaller the shuffle got. They all came in a variety of colors.

 The iPod Touch has a slim rectangular shape with rounded edges, with a glass multi-touch display covering most of the top surface and a physical home button off the touch screen. The touch was launched on September 5, It is the first iPod with wireless access to the iTunes Store and the app store.  The first generation did not come with a built in speaker, people had to use their headphones. When the second generation came out it ha\d a built in speaker and a slimmer body.  The third and fourth generations were able to have microphones and cameras, but only the fourth had duel cameras and a built in microphone.  The iPod touch 4g has this new thing called face time.

 Face time was announced with the IPhone/IPod touch 4g. Using the duel cameras on them people could talk to friends face to face without being there. You could talk without having a phone!!!  You cant use it without wifi.
