3  Apple Inc. was developed by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs in the mid 1970’s  Wozniak developed the prototype for the Apple I in 1976  Apple was incorporated in January of 1977  Apple II was developed in 1977 and was widely successful  Subsequent designs, Apple III and Lisa were widely unpopular Apple: 1970-1980

4  1984: Apple introduced the Macintosh  Changes in the structure of the company resulted in Jobs’ departure from Apple Inc.  From the 1980’s – 90’s, Apple produced a number of new devices to lukewarm reviews  1996: Jobs returns  Jobs aligned with Microsoft to enable Microsoft Office to be run on Macintosh computers Apple: 1980-2000

5  Jobs revamped Apple with new, colorful iMac PCs  iPod and iTunes were developed in 2001  The implementation of the MacBook, iPhone and the iPad cemented Apple Inc. as a technology giant  Jobs succumbs to cancer in October 2011  Tim Cook replaces Steve Jobs at the helm of Apple  Apple launches the iPad Air, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S to the market Apple: 2000-Present
