INCORRECT High-Impact Practice options that are acceptable include: Serve as a University Peer Leader Study abroad (Maymester or longer) Conduct undergraduate research Complete an internship or co-op, or substantive work experience (minimum of 12 weeks/240 hours) Complete a 3 credit hour service-learning class

CORRECT While leading a student organization is a laudable feat and one that will help you grow as a student and a future professional, it does not meet the requirements for becoming a Capstone Scholars Fellow.

How Long? For how long must you participate in undergraduate research, or a University Peer Leader position? At least two weeks At least one month At least one semester At least one year

INCORRECT You must study abroad for at least two weeks. You must complete an internship or co-op for at least 12 weeks or 240 hours. A service-learning course can be variable in length, but must be approved by USC.

CORRECT You must participate in undergraduate research or serve as a University Peer Leader for at least one full semester. This does not include training or selection time.
