5 Eligibility Sophomore status. 2.5-3.0 minimum GPA
GPA requirements differ by program.

6 Money Issues Financial aid can be used for study abroad

7 Language English speaking opportunities exist in:
Language is no longer a barrier to studying abroad. Many universities around the world offer courses in English, as well as the local language English speaking opportunities exist in: England, Japan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Ireland, Austria, Norway, Sweden, & Spain Most programs have no foreign language pre-requisites

8 Classes Most students take regular university courses in English
Credits can be applied toward major, minor, general education or elective requirements. Courses are approved prior to study abroad

9 Planning Ahead One year in advance recommended
Application deadlines are generally in October & March. Determine when study abroad fits into your academic schedule.

10 Housing Most students live on-campus in university housing
Foreign language students usually live with host families
