First : Introduction  In the framework of cooperation between the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics and the Statistical Division of the United Nations We developed dissemination of census data using CensusInfo.  To take full advantage of census data have been collected, and the use of appropriate mechanisms for data analysis.  Often be the end destination for dissemination of census data in tabular form, whether in print or on the Internet The process of making it boring and unattractive to users.  Must be census data useful for public dialogue, it should be accessible to the international community via the Internet in multiple languages.  Users need to be able to access data quickly and easily in every detail of the custom: by sex and age, at different levels of geographic areas, according to the time period for comparison purposes of appropriate mechanisms for data analysis.

Second : What is CensusInfo  The United Nations Statistics Division, in partnership with UNICEF and UNFPA, has developed a free software package, CensusInfo to help countries disseminate census data on CD-ROM and on the web.  CensusInfo was officially launched at the 40th Statistical Commission in February  UNSD provides CensusInfo software with a proposed list of census indicators and metadata in order to assist countries in setting up their own indicators and metadata according to national priorities and needs.  The primary objective of the session is to present experiences of countries using CensusInfo to disseminate the results of their population /improve quality of dissemination of census results.

Third : Main features of CensusInfo  A tool to disseminate population and housing census results on the web and on CD-ROM.  presents indicators with map and graph facilities by date of census and different geographic levels, from regions to small geographic area.  includes census topics and a suggested list of census indicators with accompanying metadata.  customized to meet country-specific census indicators.  generates user-defined tables, graphs, maps and reports  import data from other software applications.

Continued :Main features of CensusInfo  The ability to make tables of user-defined User Defined Tables and presenting data on body (Table - Map - Chart).  The ability to make comparisons and analysis of the final results of the census.  Displays the final results in the form (tables - Maps - graph).  Can deal with the final results of absolute freedom, as well as can be saved on the personal computer until needed.  The possibility of printing the final output fully (Table - Map - Chart).

Fourth : Achievement of the workshops and the findings and recommendations Was held two workshops to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in ” National Center for Statistical Training”. The first period of /05/2010. The second from /09/2010.

Advance preparation of the workshop  Contact an expert before he arrived to coordinate to send the agenda for the workshop.  Agreement with the expert on the preparations required to be provided before the beginning of the workshop.  Coordination with the expert already on the technical specifications of the equipment required to be provided.  Identify programs to be downloaded before the arrival of the expert ready.  Send a sample of the quality of the data to be processed to verify the processing.  Preparation and extraction of data that will be training on how to publish during the period of the expert during the Last (CensusInfo).

Course contents  What is CensusInfo.  The main features of CensusInfo.  How to identify indicators of the census.  Proposed scales / indicators for CensusInfo.  Reports from CensusInfo.  CensusInfo site of the World.

continued: the contents of the session  Overview of the style of census data dissemination using the CensusInfo.  Building infrastructure, which includes (the definition of key themes - sub-elements - units).  Method of processing, preparation and loading data to create a database.  Import and export of data to and from the database.  Change the language used, as well as the user interface.  Preparation of metadata and listing database.  Preparations prior to the possibility of publishing on the site.

Outcome of the session Check the main objective of the workshop, where do the practical example of all stages as of:  How to create and prepare the data to be downloaded for publication.  Preparation and good design of the database on (CensusInfo).  Load the data which have been prepared standard specifications that suit the Censusinfo.  Design database (CensusInfo).  View the data through (CensusInfo).  Download software for deployment on your server so the download is still not completed until the final stage which is currently under contact with the relevant functional (DevInfo Support) to complete the download so that we can publish to the Internet.

Work done  Was the work of practical experience and was their objective.  Stand on what has been collected from the workshop and whether there are difficulties in implementation.  The possibility of developing a time plan for the implementation of census data dissemination through the CensusInfo.  Carried out practical experience offered in the forum (National Congress for the analysis and dissemination of census data) at the request of an expert statistical section of the United Nations, praised the experience and do what they considered a successful start.  Offered a sample of the method of dissemination of census data using CensusInfo Mr. / Chairman of the CAPMAS as of 31/05/2010 and he also displayed on the timeline for the implementation of development work during the (three months) at the Governorate level.
