 The necessity of such a centre is due to several reasons:  The poor condition of spoken and written language  Lack of establishments dealing with language practice and offering proper services  A growing number of enterprises and individuals searching for specific language services  Current demands of Lithuanian emigrants and foreigners for teaching (learning)

 To nurture Lithuanian and enhance its prestige both in Lithuania and abroad  To improve the quality of spoken and written language  To encourage the usage of correct language  To help Lithuanian emigrants preserve their mother tongue and national identity  To help foreigners overcome the language barrier  To cultivate intercultural ties

 General Lithuanian language course of various levels for groups and individually  A short Lithuanian language beginner course for tourists and holidaymakers  Intensive summer / winter Lithuanian language courses  Individual tuition

 Intensive courses  50 academic hours: 2 weeks, 4-6 academic hours per day of different language proficiency levels : … ▪ Beginner (A1, A2) ▪ Intermediate (B1, B2) ▪ Advanced (C1, C2)  … where all language skills are taught: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.  A cultural programme is offered during the course.  The Summer Course is held in August while the Winter Course in December.
