GYRO : Gyro : Why I Want To Help gyro To Create Ideas That Are Humanly Relevant

Who Is This Guy? I’m Brandon Grooms and I want to work as an account exec at gyro! I want to work at gyro because my personal beliefs align with gyro’s mission! I want to create ideas that are humanly relevant! I want to create ideas that connect with people on an emotional level! I want to work with clients who have made an impact on the world! I am also a firm believer in social responsibility! What good is success if it doesn’t include giving back and helping others and the environment! Brandon Grooms

The Big Leagues Gyro is obviously good at what they do and they work with the best of the best! Check these clients out!

The Work of gyro! A thing of beauty is a joy forever!

What gyro and I have in common We love to come up with ideas. We love to provoke emotion in our work. We care about social issues. We care about sustainability We encourage collaboration and transparency. We love to help others!

My Ideas To give you a taste of some my ideas, I’ve come up with some thoughts that highlight the strengths (many) and areas of improvement (two) that I think gyro could use. These ideas are based solely upon an audit I did of gyro.com.

What Are Gyro’s Strengths? Gyro works with great clients! Gyro creates visually stunning ads! Gyro creates ads that provoke emotion! Gyro has a great company culture! Gyro encourages collaboration and creativity with their open work environment. Gyro cares about social responsibility, working with the G Foundation, and they strive for environmental sustainability! All of the departments work together to solve their customer’s problems! Gyro has over 600 employees and 15 locations throughout the world!

A Couple of Suggestions Tone up the message- how do you define ideas that are “humanly relevant.” How does the client benefit? If I’m a business owner, how exactly does gyro help my business? Why would businesses use gyro for advertising? How do businesses find gyro? These answers are not easy to find on gyro.com

Account Executive: How Will I Fit In? I know people are motivated by their own desires, fears and ambitions. As an account exec, I know I’m the point of contact between gyro and the client. As such, I will look to nurture a relationship with the client to better understand their business, their goals, their fears, their challenges and their successes! Communication between myself and clients, as well as between departments is key to success! I will make communication clear and concise. I will always keep a positive attitude! I will help train new agency members in procedures once I gain experience.

My Qualifications I practice coming up with ideas on a regular basis! I did marketing and PR for my own business, Even Flow Drumsticks, LLC., so I understand the needs and challenges of businesses. I worked as a corporate trainer at the Technicolor, Inc. (a gyro client) facility Wilmington, Ohio, so I can help train employees. I have a diverse professional background in entrepreneurship, market research, corporate training, customer service, payroll, education and criminal justice. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, so I have proven that I can learn new things! I listen to and empathize with clients to help them find solutions! I don’t give up! I love helping others!

How Am I Unique? ACT outside the box! It’s not enough to think different, action is the key. I know how to overcome fear! Never underestimate how powerful this emotion is. Even huge successful corporations are scared to lose it all! I learn fast, I ask questions and I want to know how things work! When I learn how things work, I want to make them better! I’m not afraid to swing big and take a chance! Sometimes hitting a home run involves striking out but I’m not going to strike out looking! I’m resilient. I can bounce back from tough times. I can handle criticism. I can deal with difficult clients. I’m mentally tough with a sense of humor!

What Else? As part of my background in education, I understand that people learn differently. Some learn visually; others learn by doing. Some learn by mimicking others while some learn by hearing or instruction. These learning styles are important to consider when designing ads and coming up with ideas that provoke emotions in people!

What Say You? I think gyro and I would make great partners and I hope after seeing this presentation that you think so too! Should you find that my qualifications and ambitions are compatible with gyro’s goals, please feel free to contact me at whatever method you prefer. My contact information is on the last page. I look forward to hearing from you!
