WorkKeys Impact Data Points MoHealthWINS 67% of those 575 initial candidates who were WorkKeys tested were eligible to start most programs without remediation. Based on Compass scores of new students in 2013, only 24% could start their program without remediation.

(Scale score increased averaged 2 – 3 % over the period)

The completers averaged 93% on their Perkins Technical Skill Assessment (TSA).

Lessons Learned (1) Locating Information is most difficult assessment for candidates and it is the skill that companies generally seek the most. Post testing is not taken seriously if non-high stakes WorkKeys Reading for Information may be a suitable reading placement test for career programs.

Lessons Learned (2) Preliminary data indicates that WorkKeys may be a good predictor of success on Perkins Technical Skills assessments. Collecting and correlating WorkKeys and Compass results is a complex process requiring institutional will and resources.

Lessons Learned (3) For short-term accelerated training programs, WorkKeys is effective for assessment, remediation and driving increased employer satisfaction. WorkKeys is evolving as an important part of the overall workforce education strategy
